Comment

In 1977, COMEX received an order from Rolex that asked them to produce Submariner 1680. 1680 Submariner doesn’t have Helium Valve, only waterproof to 200 meters. Although specially designed for COMEX, not like others, this Rolex Submariner 1680 doesn’t use COMEX dial. In fact, the early Submariner 1680 used COMEX dial(no more than 60 pieces), but many customers complained that they didn’t like this style, so Rolex decided to use the normal Rolex dial.
